Can I install my scooter lift by myself?
Manual scooter lifts can be installed easily by yourself. Most manual scooter lifts are attached to your vehicle by sliding a device into a hitch, located at the rear of your vehicle. Don’t have a hitch? Contact us for recommendations on where to have one installed based on where you live.
Electrically-powered scooter lifts are more complicated to install. For this reason, we highly recommend seeking the assistance of one of our mobility professionals. This is due to the fact that most electric mobility devices, such as electric power scooters, require drilling into the trunk or storage space of your vehicle and then wiring the unit to your vehicle.
