Standard series models can be equipped with an above-bed feature if desired. This feature will enable your platform to rise above the mainframe to make dock locking and even forklift use easier.

Safety Features 

When you choose a Tommy Gate liftgate, you will be making your working environment safer for everyone involved. The liftgate will do most of the heavy lifting for your crew, which greatly reduces the risk of injury.

Furthermore, liftgates in the railgate series standard feature a safety trip bar. This trip bar is designed to automatically disengage the liftgate anytime an object is detected between the platform and the mainframe. So, if a person or item happens to be in the way, the liftgate will stop working until you can safely remove the item or individual.

These liftgates also come standard with a 150 amp circuit breaker, which will keep your flatbed truck or van’s electrical system safe in the event of a power surge or other unexpected event. You can even fully disconnect the power for increased safety when you need to remove the lift or have repairs done.
