Van Rentals
Wheelchair Getaways, Inc. provides wheelchair accessible van rentals for people with disabilities. Van Products is your North Carolina Wheelchair Getaways location. The full size and mini vans include features such as:
- plush interiors -top-of-the-line wheelchair lifts or ramps
- 4-point wheelchair tie-down systems with seat belts
- front and rear air-conditioning and heat
- easy seating for up to four additional passengers
- hand controls
Available services for van rentals include:
- daily, weekly, monthly and long-term rentals

Mileage
- 200 free miles per day to a maximum of 4,000 per rental. For rentals over 30 days, maximum free mileage allowance applies per month. Excess mileage will be charged at $.35 per mile.
Insurance
- In many cases your personal automobile insurance policy will cover you while driving a rental vehicle. Verify with your insurance company, or contact independent travel insurance broker.
Van Delivery and Pick Up
- Vans can be picked up or returned at our Wheelchair Getaways office
- Convenient door-to-door delivery and pickup service is available for a fee. Call for further information.
- Basic rental charges are due on delivery.
Other Charges
- Rates quoted do not include gas. Vans are typically delivered with a full tank of gas. A $10.00 refueling charge -- in addition to cost of gas -- will apply if a van is returned with less gas than at delivery.
- A MINIMUM $50.00 cleaning fee will be charged for excessive dirt, stains or pet hair.
- A credit card number or deposit of $100.00 is required to guarantee reservations. In the event of cancellation, deposit is refundable provided sufficient notice is given.
